The dihydrochloride salt of pexidartinib was synthesized and the crystal structure its dihydrate determined from single data. asymmetric unit consists one formula unit. In molecule, N atom central pyridine ring pyridine-N pyrrolopyridine group are both protonated. molecule forms N–H···O N–H···Cl interactions with neighboring water molecules chloride ions, respectively. Water/chloride (O–H···Cl) water/water (O–H···O) also observed. Collectively, these intermolecular result in a complex H-bonded framework structure.
